The man who manages pop star Justin Bieber has confirmed that the “Baby” crooner is in talks to star in a new film produced by rapper-turned-box office draw Will Smith.
Bieber, 16, is being courted to appear in a feature film about a teen pop star, produced by Smith and his production company Overbrook.
“The film is a fictional piece that may have some similarities to his life,” Scott “Scooter” Braun confirmed to Teen Vogue Wednesday.
Bieber expressed his interest in acting when he met Will Smith while recording “Never Say Never” – the theme song for the summer hit The Karate Kid, which featured Smith’s son Jaden.
Bieber will make his eagerly-anticipated acting debut on the 11th season premiere of CBS’ forensic crime procedural CSI. The episode airs Sept. 23.
