Don’t say we never warned you! Desert Trip Festival is the new Coachella. 

Music-loving celebs flocked to Indio, Calif. over the past two weekends for a celebration of rock ‘n’ roll’s most iconic legends like Bob DylanThe Rolling StonesPaul McCartneyThe Who and more.

And judging from the smiles on stars like Alessandra Ambrosio and Kate Hudson‘s faces, those who skipped out on the inaugural event over concerns it was just for oldies will definitely be the first in line to snag wristbands for next year. Allow us to explain… 

Hudson recruited BFF and fashion designer Stella McCartney for a road trip to the desert, along the way sharing a selfie of the dynamic duo captioned, “Thelma and Louise heading to coachella!!”

The two presumably had an absolute blast grooving the weekend away, continuing the party that Leonardo DiCaprioSean Pennand Christian Bale reportedly started during the first weekend.

Ariana couldn’t stop gushing about her experience at Desert Trip on Instagram, sharing a series of stylish selfies from her weekend in the sun. “@deserttripindio you were legendary in so many ways. Thank you for this life affirming weekend! Til next time, shine on you crazy diamonds,” the reality star, who brought her mom along for the ride, wrote online.

Paris Hilton also gave her Snapchat followers a taste of what it’s like to be in the presence of classic rock Gods, posing for the camera as she listened from the front row.

But as for the true winners of Desert Trip Festival? Look no further than Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas‘ adorable family of four. Children Carys and Dylan tagged along with their famous ‘rents for a three-day getaway that surely won’t soon be forgotten.

On Saturday night, McCartney and Neil Young are scheduled to perform while Roger Waters and The Who will shut things down Sunday evening.

Will even more A-listers turn out for the finale of the popular fest? Only time will tell.
