Two-time Emmy-winning actress and comedian, New York Times bestselling author, and Grammy-nominee Kathy Griffin is adding another title to her illustrious resume: Divas host!

The funnygal star of Bravo’s My Life on the D-List will host VH1 Divas Salute The Troops from the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar in San Diego, the network said in a presser released on Wednesday.

“After having had the honor of performing for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, it gives me great pleasure to host an evening for them where they can really blow off some steam. I will not hold back, but I can’t speak for Sugarland. It’s going to be a wild night of great music and a heartfelt thank you,” says the always candid Kathy, a United Service Organization (USO) tour veteran.

Katy Perry, Sugarland, Keri Hilson, Nicki Minaj and Paramore are this year’s “VH1 Divas,” but they’ll be taking some of the focus off themselves, singing for the military through a partnership with the USO, an organization devoted to raising the morale of US troops and their families.

VH1 Divas Salute The Troops premieres Dec. 5 @ 9 PM ET on VH1. It will be broadcast internationally by the Armed Forces Network.
