The broadcast veteran — who just happens to be a card-carrying Gleek — has negotiated a deal to guest star as herself on Glee’s buzzed-about After Super Bowl Special, which will feature a mashup performance of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and is being touted as one of the most expensive TV episodes ever produced,
“The deal is done, and Katie will make a cameo as herself. It will be filmed very soon.”
Couric is expected to appear in a knee-slapping scene alongside sharp-tongued cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester, played by Jane Lynch on the Emmy-nominated FOX musical-comedy.
