Katie full of Glee?
Mrs. Cruise is set to sing and dance her way onto TV’s hottest show.
In news that’s sure to leave Gleeks gabbing, Katie Holmes is negotiating a deal that will see her featured in a five-part guest arc during the second season og TV’s white-hot musical-comedy, Glee. The Dawson’s Creek alum is close with actress Dianna Agron — who plays meanie cheerleader Quinn Fabray on the show on the hit series. With Dianna’s help, Katie’s managed to build a friendship with Glee creator Ryan Murphy, which could turn into a new gig for Katie, according to a new tabloid report.
A TV tipster reveals on the pages of the July 12 issue of The National Enquirer: “Katie is finalizing a deal to join the cast for a limited storyline next season. Katie’s film career has stalled, and she’s desperately needs a career boost. She’s hoping a stint on Glee will jumpstart her standing in Hollywood.”
To sell herself for the Glee role, Holmes has been taking dancing lessons with acclaimed choreographer Tyce Diorio three times a week, says a spy. She even hired a private singing coach.
Of course, Katie, 31, is a devoted fan of musicals. Last summer, Katie performed a universially-panned rendition of Judy Garland’s “Get Happy” during an episode of FOX’s dance reality competition, So You Think You Can Dance.
