The half-hour episode, which airs Feb. 7 (8 PM), will see the “Teenage Dream” songstress as Honey — a cousin of Zoey (Jennifer Morrison) — who has a knack for getting Neil Patrick Harris’ womanizing alter ego Barney to become uncharacteristically emotional whenever she’s around.
Katy follows in the stilettos of Jennifer Lopez, Carrie Underwood, and Britney Spears, who have all made stops by HIMYM during its six season run on CBS. The guest spot marks the second time that Perry has worked with Harris, who co-stars with the busty brunette in the upcoming summer blockbuster Smurfs.
