Kerry Washington Goes on Emotional Twitter ''Rant'' for First Time Since We…

Kerry Washington is tweeting for the first time as a mother of two.

Well, she’s been retweeting and posting info about politics, causes close to her heart, and work-related stuff such as Neutrogena products and her collaboration with OPI, but on Saturday she shared a slew of personal posts, including one happily acknowledging the birth of her second child with husband Nnamdi Asomugha.

E! News was first to report this past week that the couple welcomed son Caleb Kelechi Asomugha on Oct. 5. The infant joined big sister Isabelle in the family fold.

“It’s a quiet Saturday afternoon. So, a few things I wanna get off my chest…” Washington began. (Sounds like someone was napping…)

“I saw all your very kind & thoughtful congratulatory tweets. So yeah we thank you. Xo,” the Scandal star added, punctuating the sentiment with the heart-eyed emoji.

But it’s a shame that in such a joyous time at home, the actress and activist is also feeling sorrow, because next she tweeted, “Also the loss of #DeborahDanner has rattled my core. Not only becuz of painful truth that we must continue to affirm that #BlackLivesMatter.”

Deborah Danner, 66, was shot and killed Tuesday by a New York Police sergeant when officers responded to a call from a neighbor reporting that she was acting erratically in her apartment in the Bronx.

“But also becuz #DeborahDanner was killed in the community where I was raised. Community filled w/people I know & love. So when I #sayhername,” Washington continued. “My heart aches. For lives lost and for the lives we must protect. For the humanity we must work to illuminate and preserve and affirm. #BLM.

Then she changed courses, giving a shout-out to the indie drama Moonlight.

“ALSO. Go see @moonlightmov this weekend. It is artful food for your soul. At a time when so many of us need to be lovingly nourished,” Washington shared.

“End of rant,” she concluded, adding prayer hands. “XOXOXOXOX”

Anytime, Kerry. Anytime at all.
