Hoist your glasses: Former Cheers star Kirstie Alley is joining the cast of the reality ballroom smash Dancing With The Stars, according to the new issue of In Touch Weekly.
She’ll be partnered with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who almost waltzed his way to the Mirrorball Trophy while paired with ESPN reporter Erin Andrews last season.
Alley won an Emmy and Golden Globe for her role as bar manager Rebecca Howe on the iconic ’80s series Cheers. Later in life, Alley, 59, became a spokesperson for Jenny Craig, lost weight, then famously gained most of it back.
Kirstie is one of five high-profile low-level celebs linked to DWTS in the last few weeks. Jersey Shore “guido” Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, singer Michael Bolton, R&B songbird Brandy, and former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff will also show off their fancy footwork on the forthcoming 11th cycle of the show, reports claim.
Dancing fans will know soon enough: The cast will be revealed during Monday night’s airing of Bachelor Pad.
