In the July/August issue of More Magazine, actress Kyra Sedgwick speaks frankly about her lifelong struggle with her body image. Weight has been the stunning star’s worst enemy. Sedgwick says it started with her role in the 1985 film War and Love, for which she had to drop 20 pounds to tackle the role of a Holocaust survivor.
“I came back from that, and it triggered something. I ate everything in sight. My weight went up and then too far down. She grew tired of her mood swings and being so difficult on herself so she threw away her scale.”
Kyra eventually grew tired of being depressed and so difficult on herself — so she threw away her scale.
“Food has never been easy for me,” The Closer actress, 44, tells the mag. “I’m so grateful that I don’t get on a scale because it’s never going to be the right number.”
