Tim Doyle (Rules of Engagement) will serve as an executive producer/showrunner on the Tim Allen comedy that earned a second season pickup on ABC. Doyle will assume most of the duties of Kevin Abbott, who will retain his EP title on Standing but will now serve as the showrunner on Reba McEntire’s new sitcom Malibu Country.
ABC will attempt to bring back TGIF by slotting Last Man Standing and Malibu Country on Fridays this fall.
