American Idol 9 winner Lee DeWyze will perform our National Anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner,” as the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Boston Celtics in Game 2 of the NBA Finals at The Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday night. The Lakers have a 1-0 lead on the Boston Celtics in the best-of-seven series.

DeWyze won the Idol crown in a stunning upset over fan fave Crystal Bowersox last week. The former paint salesman is the latest in a long line of Idol winners who have performed at the NBA Finals. His cover of U2’s “Beautiful Day” arrived at No. 24 on the Billboard Hot 100 on Wednesday.
