Lindsay Lohan just isn’t ready to do anymore chatting about her year of legal turmoli. The trouble-prone starlet — who gleefully gabbed to Life & Style about spending two months under house arrest at her $2.25 million Venice condo this week — has ruffled a few feathers at The Peacock after calling off an interview with The TODAY Show’s Matt Lauer only moments before cameras began to roll.
On Tuesday, Lohan arrived at Lohan’s Los Angeles condo to record the interview only to be turned away as the almost-25-year-old was in the middle of doing her makeup. TMZ cites sources who say Lindsay pulled the plug at the urging of Steve Honig, her publicist. Honig says the chat was scrapped after LiLo decided that she simply wasn’t ready for a in-depth discussion about her tumultuous year.
“When [Lauer] arrived at her home, she had a change of heart and wasn’t prepared to talk for more than 15 minutes as she had agreed, so the interview was cancelled,” according to a TODAY spokesperson.
Lauer planned to tape enough footage with Lohan to use the interview for TODAY and a segment on NBC’s weekly newsmagazine, Dateline.
“Our NBC sources say producers made it clear to Lindsay and her people before Matt even got on the plane that the interview would be lengthy … because it was servicing two shows. Matt was not on Today today, and he’s just about to land back in the Big Apple,” according to TMZ.
