After posing as Marilyn Monroe in Playboy, Lindsay Lohan may play Elizabeth Taylor in a Lifetime television movie, according to Deadline.

The actress reportedly is in early talks to play the female lead in the channel’s “Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story,” which chronicles the enduring love of entertainment legends Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, whose fiery romance was the most notorious, publicized and celebrated love affair of its day.

Larry Thompson will produce the project for Lifetime.

Lindsay Lohan’s recent feature credits include Machete and Labor Pains. She also appeared in an arc on “Ugly Betty” in 2008.
