Singer/actress/entertainment icon Liza Minnelli is singing her signature showtunes in E flat after being diagnosed with bronchial pneumonia.
Liza is under strict doctor orders to spend the remainder of the month resting, prompting the “greatly disappointed” star to axe the next seven dates on her popular “Confessions Tour.”
Minnelli reportedly became ill after a sound check in Portland, Maine. She has suffered chronic health problems for years, including a serious infection with viral encephalitis in 2002.
The cancelled dates include an Oct. 15 concert in Spokane, Washington and a show in Appleton, Wisconsin on Oct. 22. Liza will also miss shows in Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, and Tennessee.
Liza expects to be back on stage as good as new for a show in Staten Island, New York Nov. 2.
