Lee Pace is Ronin the Accuser, Karen Gillan is Nebula, and Josh Brolin is Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy, James Spader is Ultron in Avengers 2, now Corey Stoll or Patrick Wilson might be Crossfire or a revamped Yellowjacket in Ant-Man. Marvel Studios doesn’t have the luxury of the fantastic rogues available with the Spider-Man or X-Men franchises, but they’ve still been able to generate excitement for these upcoming villains by being smart with the ones that they do have.

That’s not to say they aren’t without some heavy-hitters, but a look at the Top 20 baddest of the bad reveals that a lot of the ones that made the biggest impact on the Marvel U were just some jerks in expensive suits.
