Gordon Gekko might have been the epitome of Wall Street greed, but not anymore. In a new public service announcement from the FBI, Michael Douglas warns consumers of the dangers of financial fraud.

In the video, Douglas, who played Gekko in the 1987 Oliver Stone film, “Wall Street” and its sequel, “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,” tells viewers that “the movie was fiction, but the problem is real. Our economy is increasingly dependent on the success and the integrity of the financial markets. If a deal looks too good to be true, it probably is.”

The one-minute PSA also features a clip of Douglas uttering one of Gekko’s most quotable lines from “Wall Street”: “Greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right.”

You can check out Michael’s message in the video above.

Douglas’ latest film was the Steven Soderbergh action-thriller “Haywire.”
