Intruders is a disturbing film in which reality and imagination mingle and overlap. Juan (Izn Corchero) and Mia (Ella Purnell), two children living in different countries, are visited each night by a faceless intruder, a terrifying being who wants to take possession of them.
“‘Intruders’ is an accessible chiller with high entertainment value, but the film is also a smart, psychological journey which will appeal to sophisticated audiences,” said Bill Lee, CEO of Millennium Entertainment. “The film resonated hauntingly with our team in Toronto, and we’re enthused to work with Juan Carlos to bring the film to theatres this spring.”
“It’s been an absolute thrill to experience audience reactions to the film at Toronto and San Sebastian, and exciting to also have the team at Millennium respond so strongly,” said Fresnadillo. “I look forward to working with them in bringing the film to North American audiences.”
Fresnadillo’s previous credits include Intact, 28 Weeks Later and the short film Esposados, which garnered an Academy Award nomination. Fresnadillo has also been tapped to direct the Highlander remake for Summit later this year.
