Australian model Miranda Kerr’s engagement to actor Orlando Bloom has led to her hometown of Gunnedah offering to host their wedding.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Kerr, 27, and Bloom, 33, have sparked speculation that they will wed in the NSW country town where she grew up.
And Gunnedah Mayor Adam Marshall has offered a street parade in the couple’s honour with its award-winning brass band leading the way.
“The town would love to host a good old country wedding to celebrate a local girl made good. There is no better place to hold it,” News.com.au quoted him as saying.
Jodi Dolbel from Wedding Elegance said the town could cater for more elaborate weddings at a quarter of the city price and no request from Kerr and Bloom would be too great.
“I imagine she would go the kit and caboodle but each bride is different,” Dolbel said.
