“Saved by the Bell” fans have a new ally in their quest to get a reunion show. Mr. Belding himself (otherwise known as Dennis Haskins) has publicly endorsed the idea.
This makes two of the stars of the classic ’90s teen series to support the idea. Last week, Mark-Paul Gosselaar (that’s Zack Morris, in case you didn’t know) told TMZ.com, “Maybe we’ll do a reunion.”
OK, so it’s not the most heartfelt response to a question burning in the minds of “Saved by the Bell” fans everywhere. At least it’s not a no. And with Haskins’ support, this maybe could happen.
Again talking to TMZ.com, Haskins said, “I have always supported a reunion of any kind including all of us.” What’s the reason for Mr. Belding’s desire to go back to high school? “Honestly, the fans still love us and our show so much,” he said. “They deserve it!”
Will a “Saved by the Bell” reunion happen? Should it? And, most importantly, what is Screech doing these days?
