It’s been too long since we last traveled to Westeros, the very real (I don’t care what anyone else says) world of Game of Thrones. But HBO wants you to know that we’re only five torturous months away from heading back there, and has released new Season 2 footage in an “In Production” trailer that’s like Christmas coming a month early.
In the video, producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss remind us why we love the show, and new characters Davos, Melisandre, and Margaery make their long-awaited on-screen debuts. There are also shots of all our favorites, including Arya (with a new ‘do), King Jerkface Baratheon, dragon queen Dany, self-named King Renly rocking a sweet stag crown, Tyrion being Tyrion, and the handsome Jon Snow essentially telling Samwell Tarly to shut his pie hole. But where’s Ned? Oh, right. Just watch it!
On a scale of one to ten, I’m at a some-number-that’s-so-high-it-hasn’t-even-been-invented-yet level of excited. Game of Thrones Season 2 will debut sometime in April 2012. Are you reading the books during the break?
No spoilers in the comments, please!
