It’s The Simple Life 2.0!
The Oxygen Network — which already plays home network to reality shows like Tori & Dean and The Bad Girls Club — has greenlit a new docu-series starring reality TV veteran Paris Hiton.
Described as a “for real” showing of the heiress’ life, The World According to Paris will debut this spring, the network said on Thursday.
(Insert yawning here….)
According to Oxygen Programming Executive Amy Introcaso-Davis, the show will follow the socialite as she copes with turning 30 next month, booking professional appearances, and completing the 200 hours of community service that she was sentenced to after pleading guilty to misdemenor drug possession following her arrest on the Las Vegas Strip last September.
Hilton was on the cutting edge of the unscripted series genre when she debuted alongside former bestie Nicole Richie in The Simple Life in 2003. She last appeared on MTV’s shortlived soap Paris Hilton Is My New BFF.
