New Zealand made one change to the side, with all-rounder Jacob Oram coming in place of Jesse Ryder.
Pakistan made two changes, bringing in pacer Shoaib Akhtar and left-arm spinner Abdur Rehman for fast bowler Wahab Riaz and off-spinner Saeed Ajmal.
