Now that Nick Cannon is done making babies with terrible names with his wife Mariah Carey, he wants to become a director. The America’s Got Talent host will be teaming up with Lionsgate for a feature being described as “today’s version of House Party.” The film will be a vehicle for Cannon to marry “a lot of the young hip hop acts of today” and “a bunch of comedians,” he told the New York Post. Somehow this just doesn’t seem as exciting without the giant hi-top fade.

Sharon Stone in a sexy thriller? Never! This story has been brought to you from 1992 — or the actress has been cast in a new film being directed by American History X filmmaker Tony Kaye. The Help actress Viola Davis has hooked up with two more book adaptation tales, according to Variety. She’ll star in Gavin Hood’s (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) Utopian Ender’s Game, about a young genius who is drafted by the International Fleet to destroy an alien race. Davis will play a military psychologist, starring alongside Harrison Ford, Hailee Steinfeld, Abigail Breslin, and Ben Kingsley. Meanwhile, Davis is also busy with the five-novel series adaptation, Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl’s Beautiful Creatures. The Oscar-nominated star will play a librarian and friend of Ethan’s mother. He’s the high school student who falls for a witchy teenager haunted by her family’s strange curse.
