Looks like things are heating up for Zoe Saldana. The “Avatar” actress is in talks to star in “Out of the Furnace.”
Written and directed by Scott Cooper (“Crazy Heart”), the film will star Christian Bale as an ex-con looking to avenge the death of his younger brother. Robert Duvall will play Bale’s uncle and Viggo Mortensen is in talks to portray the villain. According to Variety, Zoe would play Bale’s ex-wife.

Saldana knows a thing or two about playing characters hellbent on revenge, having starred as Cataleya Restrepo, a woman attempting to hunt down her parent’s killers, in 2011′s “Colombiana.”
Zoe can be seen next in “The Words,” alongside rumored beau Bradley Cooper, this October.
“Out of the Furnace” currently has no release date.
