Peter Jackson: ‘The Hobbit’ Starts Production – First Look!
Peter Jackson poses on the set of his upcoming film The Hobbit, which starts production on Monday (March 21) in New Zealand.
The Hobbit, the prequel to The Lord of the Rings series, follows the journey of title character Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug.
Martin Freeman stars as Bilbo with Cate Blanchett, Ian McKellen, Elijah Wood, and Andy Serkis reprising their roles from The Lord of the Rings.
