Is that you, Scarlett Johansson? The actress is almost unrecognizable thanks to a brand new look.

Before you freak out, though, read on: The bombshell didn’t make any permanent changes. She’s just donning a wig and some heavy makeup on the Glasgow, Scotland, set of her new film, Under the Skin.

Instead of her shoulder-length blonde locks, the star’s character called for a voluminous dark brown shoulder-length bob with bangs. On set Tuesday, the messy mane was offset with equally questionable garb like — ugh — acid wash jeans.

Even though it’s just for work, we’re hoping the early ’90s look (Is anyone else getting a Peggy Bundy from Married … with Children vibe? Just us?) doesn’t end up influencing Johansson’s personal style. Tell us: What do you think of Johansson’s on-set look?
