It has become known that Prince Harry came to New York on Friday to visit West Point young cadets. He came after 1:30 p.m. by helicopter and immediately traded his blue beret for a military helmet.

A group of West Point cadets together with Harry fired at different pop-up targets which were from 15 up to 300 meters away using M-4 rifles. Thanks to the media leak we became aware that the prince served as an air controller in Afghanistan in 2008. Moreover, he was on duty on the frontlines for 10 weeks. That is why he shot pretty well.

Colonel Casey Haskins said to reporters that, in his opinion, Prince Harry was perfectly aware of what he was doing: how to move and how to shoot. In such a way he was describing Harry’s hitting numerous “enemy” targets and avoiding the “friendly” silhouettes.

That practice lasted for 10 minutes after which the prince went to watch combat exercise in the nearby woods but decided not to participate.

By the way, Harry’s program of the USA visit also includes: playing polo, helping veterans and participating in charity donations together with American Friends of Sentebale. The raised funds will do to Lesotho’s needy children and will help to struggle with AIDS there.
