Save the Date for a Spring Wedding: Prince William and Kate Middleton will wed on Friday, April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey in London, British officials said Tuesday.

That’s 157 days from now, so let the planning begin.

William’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and her mother both married at the abbey, where British kings and queens are also crowned. With Monday May 2, 2011, a national holiday, the British public will be given a four-day weekend if the Friday wedding day is made into a holiday.

The college sweethearts, both 28, went public with their October engagement last week.
