There’s life after Twilight for on-screen vamp Rachelle LeFerve.
The redheaded actress, who played vamp villain Victoria in the first two Twilight films before being fired in a contract dispute with Summit Entertainment, has joined the cast of Off The Map, a new TV medical drama produced by Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rimes.
This isn’t Rachelle’s first soiree on the small screen. The actress has enjoyed guest roles on the CBS forensic crime drama CSI, the defunct comedy-drama Boston Legal, and a five episode arc in the ill-fated cult series Swingtown.
LeFevre will play “hippie doctor” Eva in the series, Entertainment Weekly revealed on Friday. It’s the perfect role for Rachelle, who has a great deal of knowledge in “international medicine.” Eva will have a history with the medical clinic the series is set around, thanks to her on-again/off-again romance with Ben, played by New Zealand-bred actor Martin Henderson.
Off The Map will also feature Meryl Streep’s daughter Mamie Gummer, former Without a Trace star Enrique Muriano, Puerto Rican star Jose Julian, and The Pacific’s actress Caroline Dhavernas.
Also joining the cast is Jason George, who played Bailey’s love interest, Dr. Ben Warren, during a guest arc on Grey’s.
