Regis Philbin back on daytime TV for ‘Rachael Ray’

Proving that you can’t keep a good Regis down, Regis Philbin is heading back to daytime as a recurring guest on syndicated talk show “Rachael Ray.”
“I’m not a co-host, I’m just a guy showing up on her show once a month,” Philbin tells USA Today. “I love the idea. It’s fun to be back on TV when you don’t have to do it every day.”
Although Regis is just committed to monthly appearances right now, there’s nothing prohibiting him from popping up more often. Reports from Reege’s first day of filming are enthusiastic.

We love the idea of seeing Regis back on TV, and if he can’t join the cast of “New Girl” full time, “Rachael Ray” will have to do.
Philbin’s first “Rachael Ray” appearance airs Monday.
