Rob Zombie to Cameo in 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2'; Who Else Might Join the Fun?

Rob Zombie

Musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie (above) is obviously no stranger to the performing arts, but as far as acting is concerned, he’s probably best known for voicing roles in movies directed by James Gunn (Slither, Super, Guardians of the Galaxy). That tradition will continue with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, according to Zombie (via ScreenRant).

Gunn later shared the same photo on social media and added his own caption (via AV Club):

“There are two things you can be sure of in my films: 1) There will be a character named Fitzgibbon. And 2) There will be a @robzombieofficial voice cameo. Yesterday Rob came by to lend his voice to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Now it’ll be up to you guys to find it. #GotGVol2 #robzombie”

Guardians of the Galaxy

Guardians of the Galaxy featured two well-known actors voicing key characters: Bradley Cooper as Rocket and Vin Diesel as Groot (above). In addition to Zombie (as Ravager Navigator). The movie also included a credited cameo by Nathan Fillion (voice of “Monstrous inmate”), as well as uncredited cameos by Seth Green (voice of Howard the Duck), music composer Tyler Bates (Ravager Pilot), Josh Brolin (Thanos) and Gunn’s former Troma Entertainment colleague and fellow filmmaker Lloyd Kaufman (Prisoner). Naturally, Stan Lee showed up on screen too.

What can we expect in the sequel? Besides Cooper, Diesel and Zombie, Nathan Fillion will reportedly be appearing as Marvel character Simon Williams, also known as Wonder Man. Sylvester Stallone will also be appearing, likely in a small role, and Kurt Russell will be playing Ego, the Living Planet in human form.

Beyond that, we’re hoping for more surprises and a really good sequel. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will open in theaters on May 5.
