Talk about a “Flight Risk!” A private jet carrying comedian Dave Chappelle was forced to make an emergency landing last week after the star began behaving oddly onboard.

The jet was traveling from New Jersey to Chappelle’s home in Ohio when it was diverted to Pittsburgh, TMZ.com said Saturday. Tipsters tell the gossip site the plane made an emergency land after the pilot ruled Chappelle a safety risk.

Chappelle — former star of Comedy Central’s hit sketch series Chappelle Show — allegedly “freaked out” and refused to wear his seat belt on board. The comic then reportedly walked into the cockpit and repeatedly asked how much longer the flight would take. He’s even said to have grabbed the pilot’s arms.

After the plane landed, Chappelle checked into a hotel, where he was heard telling employees he wanted to rent a car to complete his journey home. but couldn’t remember where he lived.

Dave’s representatives have pooh-poohed the incident — No Pun Intended — by chalking the misunderstanding up to a “bowel problem.” A spokesperson for Chappelle told TMZ that the funny guy was suffering from an adverse reaction to some food and needed to use the restroom, however the bathroom onboard the jet was “not the kind he needed.”
