Former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar is returning to TV in 2011 in the new CBS drama Ringer.
The series pilot, which is expected to premiere next fall, will see the married mom starring as a troubled young woman who, while on the run from the mob, assumes the identity of her wealthy twin sister, only to find out that she also has a bounty on her head.
Talk about tough breaks.
Ringer will be written and co-executive produced by writer-producer duo Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder, who also lend their creative talents to The CW’s Supernatural.
Um….at least this sounds better than that FOX show Eliza Dushku was attached to star in for a whole five minutes. What was it called? Dollhouse?
As long as Sarah gets to get her action chick game on, we’ll be watching. How about you?
