Sarah Palin is going head-to-head with the Big Bad Liberal Media — again — after coming under fire for posting suggestive images that some Americans believe played a role in Saturday’s supermarket massacre in Tucson.
On Wednesday, Palin responded to the backlash she’s been receiving for last weekend’s Arizona shooting rampage, in which a nine-year-old girl was killed and State Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was shot in the head by crazed gunman Jared Loughner. For those not in-the-know, Sarah released a graphic on her Facebook page in the shape of a map of the United States. Crosshairs covered the map, targeting areas and politicians that supported the so-called Obamacare healthcare reform bill.
Rep. Giffords was among the names featured. She remains hospitalized in critical condition.
”If you don’t like a person’s vision for the country, you’re free to debate that vision. If you don’t like their ideas, you’re free to propose better ideas. But especially within hours of a tragedy unfolding, journalists and pundits should not manufacture a blood libel that serves only to incite the very hatred and violence that they purport to condemn. That is reprehensible,” Palin said in a video statement that surfaced online on Wednesday.
