After a disappointing show of the third sequel of ‘Shrek’franchise, the fourth version, Shrek Forever After gives hope of being a successful entertainer. While the first two big-screen outings were a huge success for favorite ogre, the third one was not so successful.
DreamWorks Animation tem has done a remarkable job in creating an outright entertainer in the form of Shrek Forever After and is a huge improvement on the third version. The lead animated character of the film, jolly green ogre, has mid-life crises. He is now settled, but hates his placid and family oriented existence. He no longer appreciates his wife and three cute little baby ogre. This is because he now longs for those old days when villagers feared him and fled him for their lives. Those were the times when he could do whatever he wished to do.
The animated film also brings back the much loved characters of Donkey and Puss-in-Boots. Some other characters also make appearance in cameo performances. Shrek Forever After is a 3-D film and this technique is used for many chase scenes, though does not add much to the story line.
The film is capable of racking in jillion dollars.
