Sir Paul McCartney Prince William & Kate Middleton Wedding Performer?

Will Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney take center stage at the most anticipated royal wedding in 30 years?

The “Say Say Say” singer’s name has joined the list of respected musical acts — which also includes Elton John and ABBA — who have reportedly been invited to perform at the wedding reception of royal wedding of Prince William and his fiancee Kate Middleton.

Those in-the-know tell London’s Daily Star that the soon-to-be newlyweds have invited McCartney to perform at the reception, which will be hosted by Will’s dad, Prince Charlie. Sir Paul’s been approached to perform at Buckingham Palace after the April 29 nuptials because the couple believe his music has universal appeal, sources say.

We hear McCartney, 68, felt “privileged” after receiving the invitation a few weeks ago.

“William and Kate have chosen their wedding list and Paul McCartney is their number one choice to perform. They can’t think of anyone more perfect to kick off proceedings.”
