Snoop Dogg thinks American Idol could use some “pizazz.” That’s why the lanky Long Beach-born rapper is throwing his heavily-rolled blunt into the ring of contenders hoping to be chosen as a judge when the TV singing competition returns for a 10th season in January.
The rapper has been touted as a possible replacement for outgoing judge Simon Cowell and admits he’d be willing to step into the music mogul’s shoes…if the price were right.
“I like that show. I think it’s missing some pizazz and I can give it what it’s missing – if they get their bread together, cut me in and cut me out. I got to get paid.”
Sadly for Snoop, the rapper may not get the chance to strut his stuff on Idol anytime soon. Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, 62, is thought to be the top choice to serve as a judge on the show’s next cycle.
