“Jig” is a genuinely remarkable documentary about passion. That the passion is about something as idiosyncratic as Irish dance makes the movie even more fascinating.
It delves into the world of competitive Irish dance. Filmmaker Sue Bourne found a half dozen or so contestants from around the world preparing for the 2010 Irish Dancing World Championships, and followed them through training and into the competition.
