After a somewhat troubled production that led to the departure of director Edgar Wright, Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man has finally been released in theaters. Audience response seems to be generally positive, with the film becoming Marvel’s 12th straight number one opener. While Ant-Man as a whole embraces the tenets and surroundings of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it also represents a bit of a different approach in their films.
