The Academy Awards broadcast Sunday evening (and into Monday morning) was the best in years. In fact, it was the best it could possibly be — given the circumstances. But it will never be a great show until the Academy decides who it is producing it for: its members or the general public. Of the 3 billion or so people who watched, I’m gonna guess not more than 11 civilians care about costume design or make up or art direction or cinematography.
A few days before an anti-climactic Oscar broadcast, Paramount unveiled its full trailer for 'Iron Man 2,' starring megawatt hot Robert Downey, Jr. In case you missed it, check out what has reinforced its status as the key summer film to beat for maximum audience attention.
