Well I've got to see this film in 3D at the IMAX now, looks amazing. Enjoyed the original film when I saw it a few years back and with the film tech now, it's about time this film was remade.

In this Digital Spy article Nick Park still expresses hope for one of his animations to appear in 3D. In the past a project, hinted at being Wallace and Gromit in the IMAX, was on the table but never materialized due to funding.

"When I first saw 3D coming in I had quite an appetite to do a 3D film. We were even planning to do an IMAX Wallace and Gromit at one point in 3D but for some reason financially that got shelved."

However, fans still have hope since hits like Avatar spurred the movie industry closer towards the new technology, which will boost funding for projects like Nick Parks previous attempt.
