Michael Clarke Duncan has officially joined Green Lantern in the role of Kilowog. Latino Review had the news late last month and their scoop has since been confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter .
Kilowog, a member of the Green Lantern Corps, is a hulking figure from the planet Bolovax Vik and has been a mainstay of the DC Universe since he first appeared in 1986.

Rufus Sewell has signed on for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter , Variety reports.
The film is slated to star Benjamin Walker as Lincoln, the man destined to become the United States’ 16th President, who must also deal with quelling attacks from bloodthirsty undead.
Sewell, who most recently appeared in The Tourist , will play Adam, the vampire leader and the story’s chief antagonist.

A surprise bit of casting has placed Josh Pence in a supporting role in The Dark Knight Rises . The Hollywood Reporter claims that Pence will play Ra’s Al Ghul in the conclusion of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy.
The original story suggests that Al Ghul, who was played in Batman Begins by Liam Neeson, will appear in flashbacks that are set three decades in the past.

“Flight of the Conchords” star Bret McKenzie has joined the cast of The Hobbit , which is now filming in New Zealand.
Variety says that McKenzie will play Lindir, an Elf of Rivendell. He previously made brief appearances in the first and third films in Peter Jackson’s “Lord of the Rings” trilogy. His father, Peter McKenzie, played the role of Elendil in “Lord of the Rings.”
