Following the less-than-stellar reception of his latest, Abduction, Taylor Lautner is now planning to go indie, starring in a film from Gus Van Sant. The Hollywood Reporter has the news, saying that Lautner will also produce the film and that it will be based on an unspecified New Yorker article that the star optioned.

Adrianne Palicki has just been cast as the female lead in ‘G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes.’ The ‘Friday Night Lights’ star will play Lady Jane.
