Tragedy struck the “The Lone Ranger” set earlier today after a crew member died.
TMZ reports that a crew member drowned this morning on set after going into full cardiac arrest. Law enforcement officers explained that the man was a driver who was working in a tank; he was immediately helicoptered to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead on the scene.

When the first image from Gore Verbinski’s upcoming The Lone Ranger came online earlier this year, there was much discussion about Johnny Depp’s unique visual approach to the character of Tonto. EW caught up with Depp and learned that the bird-on-head design was inspired by “I Am Crow”, a painting by artist Kirby Sattler.
