Shine Pictures Options Steve Knight’s Hummingbird

Shine Pictures has optioned the film rights to screenwriter Steve Knight’s screenplay Hummingbird , reports Variety . The project will mark Knight’s directorial debut as a director.

Hummingbird is being financed by New Regency Prods. and will be distributed worldwide by 20th Century Fox.

Hummingbird is described as “a thriller whose central character is an ex-special services soldier turned criminal.”

Shooting is expected to start this fall.
