A massive cruise ship ran aground off the coast of Italy Friday night, and the disaster is already being compared to the Titanic.

Paramount Pictures has released the poster for the 3D release of James Cameron’s Titanic. The film will play in 3D and IMAX 3D theaters on April 6.

Written, directed and produced by Cameron, Titanic is the second-highest grossing movie of all time. It is one of only three films to have received a record 11 Academy Awards including Best Picture

Planned to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the infamous vessel’s launch and subsequent loss early next year, “Titanic: Blood and Steel” is being planned as a television miniseries to air in 12 parts. Casting now underway, Variety reports that Derek Jacobi (Gladiator, The King’s Speech) has signed on with Neve Campbell (Scream, Wild Things) and Chris Noth (Cast Away, Sex in the City)
