To a lengthening registry, add another entry in the mismatched in-laws-to-be/madcap nuptials genre with “Our Family Wedding.” Instead of WASP vs. Borscht Belt shenanigans or Rich Crew/Poor Crew antics on the way to the altar, the twist here is that the blushing bride is Mexican and the groom African-American. Can’t we all just get along?
Yes, but naturally there’ll be 90 minutes of eye-rolling, name-calling and soul searching as a prelude to that blessed moment when everyone gets to break out and does the Electric Slide. And, in this case, rock the mariachi tunes as well.
