CBS announced on Wednesday (Oct. 2) that the Nov. 7 episode will also feature a guest starring appearance from recent “Dancing With the Stars” cast-off Bill Nye. According to the network’s logline, Newhart’s good professor contacts Leonard (Johnny Galecki) to ask for help on an experiment, prompting a scorned Sheldlon (Jim Parsons) to seek revenge on his favorite childhood hero by befriending rival science TV host, Nye.

Newhart first appeared on the CBS comedy late in Season 6, earning him an Emmy nomination, and win, for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series — his career first, if you can believe it.

Nye, meanwhile, was just eliminated from Season 17 of “DWTS” this week, the season’s third week of competition, after suffering an injury during rehearsals. With this gig, though, it’s seems he’s bouncing back just fine.

“The Big Bang Theory” airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
