Casting news for the upcoming fourth “Jurassic Park” film, “Jurassic World,” is starting to surface, and it includes a part for “Iron Man 3″ star Ty Simpkins.

Deadline is reporting that 12-year-old Simpkins has snagged a lead part in the long-awaited sequel. The young actor previously worked with “Jurassic” producer Steven Spielberg on 2005′s “War of the Worlds,” in which Simpkins made his feature debut. He’s since appeared in films including both “Insidious” movies, “Revolutionary Road,” and “Little Children.”

Deadline also reports that Jake Johnson, who starred in “World” director Colin Trevorrow’s debut “Safety Not Guaranteed,” and Bryce Dallas Howard are in talks for roles, though nothing has been confirmed by the studio. (And no word on Jeff Goldblum, who teased his possible involvement earlier this month.)

The long-delayed “World” — once scheduled for release next summer before being briefly shut down then bumped another year — seems to finally be making serious headway, if this casting news is any indication. A script was written by “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” scribes Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa, though that’s since been reworked by Trevorrow and writer Derek Connolly.

“Jurassic World” roars into theaters June 12, 2015.
