Don’t worry ‘Lion King’ fans, if you have yet to catch the 3D version of the beloved 1994 film in theaters, you still have time — the movie will be on the big screen for an extra week.
Originally slated for a two-week run preceding the release of a special edition Blu-ray on Oct. 4, the Disney flick has been No. 1 at the box office during the last two weekends. This past weekend, ‘The Lion King’ topped highly anticipated releases like ‘Moneyball,’ ‘Abduction’ and ‘Dolphin Tale’ on the way to back-to-back box office crowns.
If you pre-ordered the Blu-ray edition of ‘The Lion King,’ some good news: it will still get released on Oct. 4.
